Unfortunately, due to current provincial Covid 19 restrictions we are not able to offer this program - as soon as restrictions change we will continue with our Community Sailing days.
What: A day of fun on-water and on-land activities. Experience sailing and learn the basics of the sport in a fun and open environment from our experienced coaching staff.
Who: Open to anyone! You just have to sign in and complete a waiver when you arrive.
How much: Free to all Sooke Sailing Association members. $10 per person for the general public. You can purchase a membership when you arrive!
When: 2021 Community Sailing Days are: April 5, May 24, June 12, July 3, September 6 & October 31. Each day runs from 10am to 4pm.
Each SSA Community Sailing Day is focused on building connections within the Sooke community (and beyond) while also providing quality sailing experiences for anyone who wishes to come and participate. We provide opportunities for anyone at any age and skill level to participate in on-water activities and sailing as well as on-land games and educational sailing activities. Each day will involve a series of activities that participants can rotate through and is organized and overseen by our experienced sailing instructors. All community sailing days will include a BBQ lunch for all participants. Our hope is that these days will have something for everyone to enjoy so that they can become a part of our growing SSA community!
